"Personally I am rather glad he [my father] did
[emigrate to Britain] and I also am not quite as
pessimistic as you."
You have every reason, Sarfraz , to be glad of
your British citizenship, and all the advantages that go
with it, which generations of MY ancestors had to work
and fight for . . . Not that I begrudge you personally
sharing in my heritage and good fortune. If it were just
you a few others there would be no issue, and you really
would be welcome. But it's NOT just you and a few
others. There are now millions of OTHERS. So many that
it has undermined, certainly my sense of, national
identify.
Not that this is a bad thing in itself, since it
gives the LIE to the longstanding self-delusion that
Britain ever was a genuine NATION. What we now have is a
liberal fascist STATE (see Jonah Goldberg), which
lays false claim to nationhood, in order to legitimize
itself and disguise its role of facilitating society's
self-exploitation to the advantage of its dominant and
privileged elites.
It is a travesty (but no accident) that the Nazis,
with all their well-deserved evil associations,
described their ideology as "national socialism",
thus dragging this vitally important concept (combining
nationhood with socialism) into the abyss with them, so
that now, no one dare use the term except as a synonym
for evil.
It reminds me of how the literal meaning of "anarchism"
was also changed to the very opposite of what its
well-meaning advocates actually had in mind, i.e.
putting an end to the tyranny of class and hierarchical
society and of the powerful over the powerless.
A deep and genuine sense of NATIONHOOD (a shared
sense of identity, belonging and mutual self-interest
among its members), I am sure, is the ONLY basis on
which a genuine, just, humane and
participatory/grassroots-democratic society can be
built, which by definition would be a (non-state, ie.
non-fascist) form of socialism.
Thus, the idea we need to explore and develop, as a
alternative to the existing, inherently unjust,
inhumane and non-sustainable socioeconomic order (of
liberal fascist state and capitalist economy) is
MULTINATIONAL SOCIALISM.
In response to my
request for an explanation as to why this comment was
removed I received the following answer:
The following passage of our
community standards applies to your removed comment:
We will not tolerate racism, sexism,
homophobia or other forms of hate-speech, or content
that could be interpreted as such. We recognise the
difference between criticising a particular government,
organisation, community or belief and attacking people
on the basis of their race, religion, gender or sexual
orientation.
I sent another email asking what exactly had been
misunderstood or misinterpreted as "hate-speech", but
have so far received no response.
