response to "Colourblind justice" by Peter Herbert Link to article and thread at The Guardian. Germany's search for home truths continues, 75 years on, by Jonathan Steele), which I've decided to place here rather than create a separate file for it: Far from learning from the Nazi experience, as most politicians and political commentators implore us all to do, they themselves are primarily interested in exploiting it to their own advantage, assuming the "moral high ground" for themselves in their self-righteous condemnation of it. The biggest danger lies in our political classes (facilitated by the interests of state and capital in cheap immigrant labour) having embraced and imposed on society a racial ideology (of "race does not exist", or if it does, of having no social significance, except for "racists"), which is the exact, equally extreme, opposite of Nazi racial ideology. The danger being (because race IS of great social significance, especially in respect to individual and group identity) that the pendulum will eventually, inevitably, swing back in the other, extreme, direction. The assumption that the horrors which Nazi racial ideology led to can only be avoided in the future by demonizing, suppressing and denying (including to ourselves) racial prejudice, which, along with countless other prejudices, is inherent to human nature, is totally misconceived. Nothing could be further from the truth. Rather, we are making their return (or something horribly like them) virtually inevitable. It is not too late, however, to become aware of where (and why) we have gone wrong, and to correct it. |
But NO! The STATE insists that we are all "British" and a SINGLE people - even though it is damned obvious that we are NOT. Not any more! (if we ever were)
It is time to call a halt to this ridiculous experiment in multi-racial/multicultural society. It doesn't work, and is never going to. Anyone with any sense could have seen that from the very beginning, but no, we had to go ahead with it . . . (WHY? What drove this MADNESS? I've a few suggests, which can be found on my homepage). And now we have got ourselves into the mess which this article illustrates only too plainly.
We need to put a rational and enlightened end to it, while we still can, before it goes too far and turns nasty - which it is already starting to do, and we are not even in an economic recession yet, never mind the drastic economic decline which lies ahead of us, as the effects of resource depletion, climate change, overpopulation and environmental degradation start to kick in.
There is an assumption that there is now no choice to multi-racial/multicultural society, other than some kind of a "racist society", but that is a false assumption, maintained by the state and its apologists, which have wed themselves to the forced and unnatural ideology (which is what it is!) of multi-racial/multiculturalism.
It is time to think about breaking up not just the UK, but this whole goddamned nation state of ours, whose time is up anyway, even if we were all of pure Anglo-Saxon stock!
That would bugger up the 2012 Olympics, wouldn't it. Not that it would bother me, but we can put it off until after that . . .
If I suddenly stop posting you can assume that I have been bumped off my MI6 (I'm joking - I hope . . . . nervous laugh . . . ).
"when socialistmike went on about racists on cif i used to think he was being ludicrously melodramatic."
Thanks [agooddealofavagabond], for providing a perfect example of how the MADNESS of mass immigration and the creation of a multi-racial/multicultural society was realized: by condemning and dismissing anyone who objected or pointed out the madness as a "racist".
Because human beings are inherently and incurably full of prejudice, including racial prejudice. We have to live with this as best and humanely as we can, but will not achieve it by demonizing, suppressing and denying it (including to ourselves), as is the current practice (the reasons for which is another, very interesting, topic).
Instead, since we cannot (and perhaps will not, even if we could) turn the clock back, we need to create social structures which allow for and accommodate it.
This, needless to say, will entail radical changes to the structures of society and the state. We simply need to proceed cautiously, peacefully, humanely, and within existing laws.
But first, of course, one needs to recognize the problem (as with global warming, which society was also too long in denial of) and start discussing it, with good-will and civility, without allowing genuine racists and/or anti-racists, like socialistMike (Hi, Mike!), to close discussion down.
[McQueue]: "This absurd notion of 'institutionalised racism' bears such similarities to the Catholic notion of 'original sin' it is remarkable, and also just as abhorrent and see through a ploy against a free society."
Spot on!
I mentioned in my previous post that the reasons racial prejudice (which I'm sure the majority of people have) is demonized, suppressed and denied (often even to oneself) was another, very interesting topic, but now you have brought it up, I shall add my two pennies worth.
I too have noticed the similarity between the (medieval) Church's demonization of human nature (disobedience of authority, sexual desires, etc.) and the present-day demonization of human prejudice, especially racial prejudice, and how it is used for the very same purpose, i.e. to control and manipulate society and give the "moral high ground" (along with the advantages - political, social and/or economic - that go with it) to those claiming (honestly or not, perhaps self-deceivingly) to be worthy of it.
It used to be the clergy (who even managed to control the aristocracy to some extent with it), but now, far more relevantly, it is the enthusiastic proponents of mass immigration and of multi-racial/multicultural society, which demands an absence of racial prejudice, that only THEY actually dispose over (or would have us believe); most of us are left feeling guilty and easily dominated by them and their ideology, just as medieval society was dominated by the Church and its ideology (i.e. theology). Back then, dissent was condemned and punished as unbelief or heresy, while today the charge is "racism!"
It is an ideology which was, it seems to me, an understandable overreaction to the insanity and horrors of Nazi racial ideology, which was then consolidated in its extreme, overreactive form of "race doesn't exist", or at least, has no social significance (when, of course, it does), by political and economic opportunism, which changing circumstances, brought about through mass immigration and institutionalization, have tended to consolidate even more.
The resistance of those committed to (quite sincerely, I don't doubt), and probably politically, socially and/or economically dependent on this ideology (e.g. anyone who works for the liberal-left media) is likely to be comparable to the resistance that would have met any suggestion in the Middle Ages that Christian ideology (theology) was not all it was cracked up to be.
So we are in for a tough and possibly long struggle . . . Although, hopefully not as long as it took to disempower the Catholic Church.
