Dear Sir/Madam,

 

In response to  today's report on the dispute between the EU and Microsoft ("Microsoft to fight 'unjustified' fines"), I suggest that the best way for the EU to deal with this predatory company, and serve the interests of its own citizens rather than American business, would be for it to promote the development and use of Linux and other open source software, especially in respect to desktop computing.
