Dear Sir,

If the Democrats, as it seems, have lost the presidency to the Republicans, they only have themselves to blame - by allowing Bill Clinton to discredit himself, his administration and the Presidency so shamefully.

Few would blame Clinton for lying about his affair with Monika Lewinsky - but to have done so with such pretentious self-righteousness (wagging his finger at the camera), and then, having been proved a liar, clinging
to power and illusions of his own self-importance, instead of doing the only honourable thing and stepping down - that was unforgivable.

Resigning would have been the honourably thing to do, for himself, his administration, the Democratic Party, the presidency, and for America - and it would almost certainly have resulted in the presidency remaining in Democratic hands.

Al Gore, I am sure, would make a far better president than George W. Bush.

Clinton's lack of integrity and the Democratic Party's complicity will cost America - and the world - dearly.

Thank you Bill Clinton - and good riddance!
