Re: Florida stalemate requires state-wide revote

Dear Sir/Madam,

After all the rhetoric, accusations and animosity (particularly from the Republicans and their supporters, such as the Telegraph's Janet Daley), neither side of the political divide can now be expected to accept a president-elect who is not their own.

As your Feedback poll shows, such a President would have little credibility - which would be disastrous for both America and her friends.

The only way I can see of putting things right now is for America to have state-wide revotes, certainly in Florida, and perhaps in the other closely contested states as well.

Only then will the loosing side be able to accept the result gracefully, without hard feelings, and will America have the prospect of having a strong and credible 43rd President.

There is no need - and every reason not - to rush things.
