RAH - "Race hatred", a consequence of white ethnic identify being vilified and suppressed for the sake of "national identity" in multiracial society?

In response to the Guardian article, "Obama's white noise" by Gary Younge on the Internet being a "fulcrum of hatred for black people".

Most so-called "race hatred", I think you'll find, is not from genuine racists, but from immature white people giving rude and offensive expression to their own threatened, vilified and suppressed sense of ethnic identity - an overreaction to the insanities and horrors of Nazi racial doctrine, and also necessary for maintaining the myth of "national identity" (and the very real power structures and privileges associated with it) in a multiracial society.

They don't hate black people or want to dominate them, but to assert their own ethnic identity.
