Dear Sir, Western Europe is one of the most overpopulated areas on Earth. Thank
goodness its population is declining naturally! What kind of insane reasoning,
expressed in Tuesday's Telegraph in the article, "EU
'will need immigrants' as working population falls", manages to see
a problem in what is in fact a blessing? Thanks to modern technology we
have no need of a workforce of predominantly young and physically fit men
and women. We have as much need of immigration as China or India, i.e.
none at all. To solve the problems presented by our changing demographic
composition, all we need is a tiny bit of imagination - something obviously
completely lacking in those employed in the United Nations Population Division,
which produced this ridiculous report.
