Dear Sir, For a judophile like myself it is painful to see what is happening in the Middle East and particularly Israeli culpability. With God's (and America's) help, and their own courage and abilities,
on the battlefield the Israelis achieved victory after victory over their
Arab neighbours and enemies, and have now had more than 30 years to win
Israel's enemies are too numerous, and the unjust, contemptuous mistreatment they have suffered at Jewish hands has made them too angry. Time and demographics are not on Israel's side. Without a just peace it will eventually be overrun and destroyed - and the Israelis will mainly have themselves to blame. It is not so much the present Israeli government that is to blame, but the one that went before, blocking peace and sowing the seeds of hate now bearing such terrible fruit. A wise Jew once said that we should love our neighbours AND our enemies. That is probably asking too much of anyone, but less hate, contempt,
arrogance and injustice towards their Arab neighbours and enemies might
have been enough.
