The correct term for the
culture that unlerlies many
of the issues reported in
recent days should be
specific - black gun
culture. From the yardies of
London to those areas of
Bristol, Birmingham and
Manchester where gun culture
proliferates, the
overwhelming participants
tend to be young black
males. Whilst the police are
left empty handed and
powerless to stop and
search, the residents of
Britain are left facing an
increasingly dangerous and
anarchistic environment
where inner urban areas
become no-go zones for
residents and policemen
alike.
If a mother can tolerate
membership of her son in
this type of gang then I am
afraid I have little
sympathy for any subsequent
loss.
